Debra's practice includes qualified retirement plans, with an emphasis on ESOPs and ESOP transactions, nonqualified deferred compensation plans and all aspects of employee benefits law. As a paralegal prior to joining the firm, Debra worked in the areas of estates and trusts, real estate and family law. Her law school curriculum included a concentration in tax, where she received the American Jurisprudence Awards in Federal Income Tax and Family Law. She is a past-president of and has served as a board member for the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA), Sacramento Chapter. On the national level, she has served on the program committee for NIPA's annual conference. Debra is a member of the Sacramento Area Human Resources Association, the National Center For Employee Ownership (NCEO), the ESOP Association, the International Foundation of Benefit of Employee Benefit Plans, and Western Pension & Benefits Conference.

Debra is a member of the Sacramento County, California State, and American Bar Associations.
